Can somone tell me what the fuck is so good about the dirty projectors? I’m quite positive that Amber Coffman is the most obnoxious and grating vocalist I’ve ever heard. I just dont get it. Maybe its completely above me or something but I just cant imagine how anyone can sit down and be like “yeah man I want to listen to some DP right now, yeah!” and then jam out to it. Can anyone even sing along to this shit? I dont hate absolutely everything about them, I think some of the instrumentation is pretty cool. ex: I really like the guitar playing on temecula sunrise (though his lyrics here, and everywhere else for that matter) are the absolute suck. It just sounds like they try SO fucking hard to sing like weirdos, I’ve never heard anything more artificial sounding/obnoxious (im sure I have but I cant remember at the moment). Excuse my redundancy. Not the most well written post of all time.
